Current Calculations

The RBC collaboration, working with the UKQCD and LHPC collaborations, is creating a large ensemble of lattice configurations generated in full QCD with 2+1 flavors of domain wall quarks and the Iwasaki action. The most recent 4.5 fm ensembles are generated using an action augmented by ratio 4-D Wilson fermions with large negative mass.   The current status of these calculations (as of June 29, 2010) is given in the following table:

These configurations were created on the QCDOC machine in Edinburgh and the RBRC and DOE QCDOC computers at the Brookhaven National Laboratory and the BG/P machine at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF).  The initial configurations with the smallest lattice spacing, 1/a=2.32 GeV, were generated using the DOE QCDOC computer as part of the USQCD lattice QCD allocations for 2006-2007 and 2007-2008.  The remainder of these challenging ensembles have been generated using the Incite and Early Science time allocate at the ALCF to the USQCD collaboration.   Gaussian source, 4-D projected, quark propagators are also available for the 1/a=2.32 GeV, m_light=0.004, 0.006 and 0.008 ensembles. The newest 1/a=1.40 GeV ensembles are now being created at the ALCF using the Incite and Director's Discretionary time made available to the USQCD collaboration.

Some N_f=2 and 2+1 configurations are now publicly (or privately to U.S. lattice collaboration members) available for download on the BNL web site: http://lattices.qcdoc.bnl.gov
