These dormitory rooms are $79 US for a single room and $69 US/bed in a double room (plus tax). Any period, arriving as soon as Saturday June 21 and leaving as late as Sunday, June 29 can be arranged.
Reservation and payment for dormitory housing at Columbia must be made separately at a special, symposium-specific Columbia Housing website, which can be accessed here.
You will be issued a swipe card for your stay and there is a charge for a replacement card. The Columbia dormitories are non-smoking buildings. Linen is provided, as are towels. Towels will likely be changed once during your stay. Hardwired and wireless ethernet area available in all spaces.
Check-In/Check-Out

Check-Out: 6/29/14, by 11 AM EST
Check in will occur at Carman Hall, 545 West 114th Street New York (the lower left red box in the map below). The main entrance to Columbia University is at 116th and Broadway, which is also the closest subway stop (the number 1 line). From the subway, proceed downtown (south) on Broadway to 114th Street and then turn left (east) on 114th. At the first gate, run left to enter campus. Carmen is the first door to your left after you enter campus. Staff will be on hand in the office every day from 8 AM - 9 PM, but if you are arriving outside of this time please call the on-call phone at (646) 300-3463 for after hours check-in service. You can call this number from the guard’s desk in Carman, if you do not have a cell phone, and the guard is present 24/7. Upon check in you will receive your room key and campus guest pass.
As the check-in date approaches, you will receive a reminder email with additional check-in information.
Due to preparing for incoming groups, there will be no extensions beyond the 29th.
Any cancellations will need to be made by filling out a cancellation form. Any cancellations will result in a fee equal to one night’s stay.
